More Detailed Tutorial
I think that one of the biggest issues for Rumble currently, is the player count. Now, this is an issue that plagues 99 percent of VR games since there's not a huge demographic to begin with, and most VR players will be off playing Gorilla Tag or VRChat or any of the other popular games. I think that one of the main contributors to the playercount issue is the tutorial. Just by taking a quick look at the games reviews(As well as some messages in the discord from occasional new players), it's clear that the biggest hurdle in the game is learning the many nuanced details of simply performing any of the combat moves. This can partially just be written off as the game having a steep learning curve, and that's perfectly fine. It is not fine, however, if alot of people simply refund the game because they spent an hour in the tutorial and can't even cast disc; this is where it starts being the tutorial's fault and not the player's. To help combat this issue, it would be most helpful to add more details to the tutorial. At the moment, all you get is a pair of ghost hands that show you where you're supposed to put them to cast a move, and that's it. The game is essentially just telling you to figure it out yourself at that point, and most people end up just being taught by other players how to actually play the game. Instead of/in addition to the ghost hands, give some context as to what makes moves work and what doesn't. It's important to stress that the starting position of your hands, fluid movement of the arms, rotation of hands, etc are what really make the difference when you're trying to smash some rocks. I'm sure there are other ways to assist the newer players in learning without leaning on the existing playerbase, but that's just my thoughts on how the issue could be fixed and I'm surprised that nobody has brought this up yet.
