Hello, I hope you find these ideas interesting, or at least a few. It goes without saying that the cosmetic options are kind of limited, which is normal, since they are very new, but I still wanted to give out some ideas, because I'm kinda bored, and I'm in search of the perfect skin. I'm going to give a bunch of ideas for particular cosmetics, and then some grander ideas about cosmetics in general, like other types there could be and also the way the whole system works, so let’s begin: Hair made of earth! For the ones who love the game way too much to have their own personality (metal hair would also be sick) A wizard hat A turban Generaly just more hairstyles. I'm stuck with the default ones because all the others are, might I say, "too extravagant". A tunic, like robes of sorts. Maybe it could have physics. Is could also be a whole set, so gloves and leggings. Sandals, because we all know shoeless is the way to go, but it doesn’t have to hinder your style A shift stone strap that is just the stone embeded into your hand. Might be too gruesome for the game though, but I think it couls be done in a pretty "familly friendly" way A set of clothes that have a punch of spikes on them punk style. Glasses? Maybe they could get smashed when you take a rock to the face. There could be a bunch of "interactive" cosmetics that get torn apart when fighting. It would be even cooler to look at your friend in shambles who you just beat 20 - 0 wearing perfect clothing. A set of clothes that are made of chains (mostly). Shift stone straps that are on your shoulders of your chest or your feet. Some more body markings that look like runes or something. I though I was really slick putting that one marking on my right arm, just to find out everybldy else got the same idea and used the same marking too since its kinda the only one in that neeche. Actually I think a cool way to add more body markings without adding more body markings would be to make it possible to layer them. You could have a base, and then add more markings that either superpose on the base or act as a mask. This would mean once the system is in place, the devs xould spend less time (and effort I guess) making markings as the possibilites would grow exponantially. I'm actually gonna turn this into its own post because it’s a really good idea. Now back into the brainstorm. A camo suit that has leaves and stuff on it A body marking that is like only inside the palm of your hands or outside A metal jaw/muzzle that you can put on your face. A belt with a bunch of pockets and pouches (not sure what type of cosmetic that would be, but I also know I would spend 3000 goin for it, so let’s just ignore the problem) Rock headphones Talked about clothes getting torn in battle, but there could also be cosmetics that are already beat. This would go hard with the cursed skins yeah Rock boots. Maybe they could have some moss and dirt and grass on them lol Slippers. For chill players. A bathrobe too. A full face mask. (Like a wooden plank or just bark, with eye holes) Also it might hard to code, but if face markings worked on it (and maybe expressions and everthing) it would make all the mask users different, which is cool, since whole point of cosmetics is to make everyone unique, don’t you forget it. Ok, I think that’s enough ideas, because no one is going to read until here. And if you do, please just leave a quick comment, I'm curious :) Now I just have some things to say about the system in general. First of all, it doesn’t seem durable to me. Unless the devs don’t plan on adding a lot more cosmetics (like less than doubling the amount we have) the current system doesn’t work. The shop can only display 9 (or 12, can’t remember) items, takes a while for all its tiles to turn around and it’s really easy to double press the button to switch pages by accident. Already with 17 pages it’s kind of a hassle to try and find something (when you don’t own much) So what do I suggest? Well I think when browsing in, for example, the battle suit catergory, you should see groups of items. Like "Laminar armor" and "Strap colours" and such. Once you click on them, it shows the whole package. Easier to browse like this. But then once you find what you want to buy, you need to equip it, and that is the worst part by far. The section on the right has like sliders with a buch of dots, one for each cosmetic you own. They move really slow and there is no way to know which dot is what. In a world where there are more cosmetics than ever (which is cool, I'm looking forward to it) it would be a real hassle to change your skin. So that’s what I had to say. This all sounds really dramatic, but it’s not really a huge issue. Just something that should be considered for the long term health of the game. I mentionned at the top of this huge paragraph some ideas for new cosmetic types, but I think this is enough. I can always make more later. Have a good day.
