Enlist prominent community members for pre-update playtesting

As the title suggests, I think it would be great for future updates to have community playtesting for changes. As seen with the v0.4 update, a lot of people were dismayed at parry not ungrounding, along with other changes like the iron boots not increasing your speed. If we had at least some playtesting from experienced players, we could catch these problems early and work on a potential solution. In addition, I believe that if a wide variety of playstyles were playtested for, then we would have very little issues migrating to new updates. I originally thought this was a community post, so I am making it myself.
Would love to hear feedback on this idea!

We are indeed intending to let players play in a closed environment first before pushing important combat updates. So this will for sure happen, but not for specifically every play test.
If you've got any questions, then you can respond to this status update.
PS: New ideas regarding this subject are always welcome!

Maarten Braaksma (Project Lead) will we know for which updates it will happen for? For example, will it happen for the quest port/0.5 update?

I do think it would be a good thing to do more tests on larger scale. But with specific rules.
- The test version is only available for an announced day and not too often. Our community is too small to split up for too long. And when it's announced to the testers, it's easy to actually test multiplayer functions as people know when other testers are going to be available in the test branch.
- Not just invite prominent members, but invite people that tend to actually give feedback or bug reports.
- The testers should receive a survey where they can note every part of the game they tried and if they noticed anything different. And if the noticed a difference they can give feedback on what difference and if it is something positive or not in their eyes.
- Those that played the test version without filling in the survey, could be be kicked out of the test branch.
- Those that leak about unannounced content changes will be kicked out of test versions permanently.

In addition to this post, I would like to clarify that this would essentially be a different branch of the game, like the one shoeless had for his recording purposes, meaning that no inter-build queues would work, but if multiplayer would be necessary for emulating a fight (which I doubt), then playtester vs playtester would be fine, as long as no boints or goins were earned, but that's fairly easy (just enlist the help of the goin gremlins!)
