Buff Pillar

Pillar should get a small buff, like a spawn speed boost (how long it takes before a structure can be modified), so it can better contend with the other structures. Pillar isn't the best and only has a few niche uses compared to the other rocks, don't let pillar bite the dust! Give it a little buff!

I was recently reminded of this and I'd like to say absolutely. I think a buff to pillar's spawning speed would increase its usage and ability to defend against discs. I hope Buckethead toys around with it in at least the next update

i don't agree i think pillar is already good and has its use and strengh is it under use yes because i think people really don't try to make pillar tech

Xardio_Drack You know well from fighting a rare heavy pillar user often enough. There definitely are good uses for it, but in general it is slightly too weak. Resulting in the under usage. Currently the shape and sprint overlap are it's only advantages. But it is a great advantage that I love in my chambering/railgun/sprint playstyle. But I overuse it as it definitely lacks some strength.
A lot of potential buff ideas would be way too much. But giving it a little more spawn force wouldn't make too much of a difference, but just enough to make it more worth it, so I agree on those suggestions.
This would make it spawn slightly faster, making it better as a quick anti disc cover. And allows for stronger topples, although wall and especially cube can still be better topple options like they are now. It is quite a tiny buff, but feels like enough for me as the pillar already has some unique uses to set it apart.

Heres my ideas on what you would do, these are not mutually exclusive, and honestly the ideal solution would probably be a lessened combination of all of these.
- Make pillar spawn faster via more spawn force. Make it spawn with the same force of a cube, this would spawn much faster and would change launch options because pillar is taller and has a smaller upper area. Also making mojo dashing faster.
- Make pillar spawn faster by making it lighter. This would make it fly further as a projectile as well, there is no reason that cube and pillar should be roughly the same weight. This would heavily change the way pillar is used, but thats also the point of this, this would turn pillar into the sniping structure it wants to be
- Make pillar spawn faster by making it lighter ONLY in the spawning animation. This would change nothing about how its used as a projectile or structure, wouldnt make launching with it a thing. It would simply make it a quicker structure to spawn
- Make pillar TALLER, this is an odd one, but did you know pillar is shorter then wall? Making it taller then wall by a decent margin would make it a better projectile overall and would change explode angles as the origin would be the higher changing the angle. Uppercut rotates it so that it faces forward, making it taller would make the end of the hit box overall reach the opponent quicker

Darkener Pillar and wall used to be the same height and then they made wall taller to better match how you lit the hands higher for the pose interestingly enough

Darkener Light Pillar sounds cool. Tall Pillar sounds cursed, but still interesting

An interesting buff would be slowing down the spawn time even further lol, I could do probably do some pretty solid hitstop-pillar runs with that. But that wouldn't work to well for your Mojodash would it..

With pillar seemingly being only marginally faster than cube (at least in testing with both grounded) while having less health/damage and being significantly slower than a grounded ball, I think if pillars came out of the ground faster than a cube that chance might it's usefulness

I think I'd rather pillar have the same stats as a cube though, but with a different shape.
