Better region map, see active regions

We need a better map to see active regions. A lot of new players drop the game thinking it's dead without realizing they are playing in unpopular regions, even though an active one might be right next to them. If they go to the map they have to search each region before they find that most players are only in a few regions.
What if we could instantly see colors representing player count.
Here is a simple example:
White = 0 players
color1 = is the 3 most populated regions
color2 = top 10 regions
color3= at least 1 player
Then smaller communities have a bit more chance as well, as at least it's visible on the map when they play in their own region, making it more likely someone is gonna join them.

We have decided to drop this specific solution. We recognize the desire for improved functions for finding and connecting with other fighters, and will continue to look into ways to achieve that, however...
We suspect this solution will lead to the pooling of large groups of players within any specific region. We'd still like to encourage players, especially new players, to play in their optimal region for the best possible experience.
We all know RUMBLE suffers from latency pretty bad, the last thing we want is for this feature to cause a chain reaction where (newer) players en-mass connect to (understandably so) the big glowing green region instead of their own and have them all suffer from terrible connection quality and then blame the game for having "shit netcode".
We understand why this is something you want, we'll take that core desire and find a way to fulfill it, but not through this proposed functionality. We hope you understand.

Tom While I can totally understand the concern of pooling, but pooling already happened and this map update was an actually a solution to it.
The community ain't stupid. Those that played for a little while know that sticking to their own region would be better for connection. But they would first need to find fellow players in their own region, otherwise there is no reason to ever play in your own. A good visual map will make finding players in their own region easier. If they were able to see in a quick glance that a single player is finally in their region, then they would probebly try to meet up and slowly build their regional community.
While the ones who don't understand that playing in their own region would be better for ping, are the new players. But if a new player knows nothing about this community and can't easily find other players. Then they will leave before they even find their first opponent with a review that the game is dead. In other words, you lose the newcomers that were needed for those regions before they even become a part of the community.
A good visual map will guide the beginners into the active pools to prevent them from leaving before their first match. And help the active players find fellow players from their own regions.
The only true fix would be automatic region based matchmaking and removing the map completely. Where everyone is queueing all regions. The system would first prioritize a close region, but if matchmaking takes too long it searches further and gives more priority on those waiting for a long time. And it continues further and further until it finds someone.
But in that case the parks would also need a new system that works in all regions.

Musical-MemoirsA Second to this, I am almost positive that we could even run a movement to have people that normally move to other regions start queueing into their own regions.

UlvakSkillz Yeah, people aren't changing regions to check if people are actually on theirs. They try theirs a couple times, and then after that a Canadian will stop checking and just leave it as whichever s server they are closer to.
With this feature people could notice that people are actually active on their region for once and join in haha

When are we going to see Seaweeds work in game?
I believe we should get this before the next big playercount boost of confused beginners that don't get where all the players are. So we can keep more of them actually in game.

Maarten: "At the moment, proper art still needs to be made for this.
We haven't prioritized this feature at the moment, but we can discuss this if it's really popular."

Do remember, ever since it has been marked as 'complete' it doesn't appear on the feedback list under trending or top posts. Only if you search for 'completed' or specific search term will you find it. Making it hard to become 'really popular' as no one will see it to add more votes. Although I would argue 47 votes is already really popular being the 14th highest voted suggestion.

Ooh good idea is good!

Sounds like an interesting idea, but can also cost quite some work. Our multiplayer solution doesn't natively support this unfortunately, so we have to make our own solution for this.
I'll talk about it with the boys.

Intensity of color1, color2 and color3 could indicate how populated those servers are, e.g. color1 is green, light green is 50 players, dark green is 150.
