I am hard-of-hearing, and I typically use amplification software on browser to hear things/people better on browser and discord. In-game, people are barely audible to me. Simple Voice Chat, a mod for Minecraft, has 200% volume amplification AND 300% player amplification, making for a 500-600% increase if needed. I typically need 200%-400% for voice chat. Thanks for reading. Love the game.

Thanks F3BVT0AY7NCT for the report and the suggestion you're giving!
Great to see that you're also loving the game. ❤️
Regarding your issue, we DO recognize this low voice chat volume issue and will definitely work on it.
The amplification idea however won't be a thing we will implement because of reduced audio quality which can pop up out of this.

If it doesn't already work this way, perhaps a normalization pass could also be added to bring all audio to a certain baseline before being boosted via the player's own personal amplification settings

Could you maybe add a way to check volume? For example a bar moving around to show how much audio is being picked up. That way you would be able to know how loud your setting need to be.

It's not only you. I use the headphones, voice to the max, and some people are really hard to hear

to devs, UX tips:
Dont forget that the perception of loudness relates roughly to the sound power to an exponent of 1/3.
This mean if you have a linear volume slider x, you need to set the volume to x^3.
