Performance terrible with specific GPUs
Maarten Braaksma (Project Lead)
I've received multiple reports from @Lemmi05 and @Lemon regarding their GPUs not being compatible with the current version of RUMBLE anymore.
Current GPUs impacted by this issue:
- NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti
- NVIDIA GTX 1060

Hey! I'm on RX 6750 XT and experience the same decrease in performance. On SteamVR they give a sort of, performance graph. It has frametimes and a colored representation of how the frame is drawn in headset. (this may explain why recordings look fine despite the games horrible feel) In 0.4.1.4, this graph was practically always green for me, which meant it was running perfectly fine. But, in 0.4.2, this graph is almost always yellow or orange for me. The frametimes, though, are nearly identical, with the new update only adding about 0.1 ms of frametime. The feeling of 0.4.2, in my opinion, is similar to how the game felt in 0.4.1.4 with the visual settings set to Normal instead of Simple. This graph might be worth looking into for testing and when other players go to the support page on Discord wondering why their game is running bad.

I'm on a 1050 Ti as well and have dropped around 10fps on average, which is ~20% lower than before, both with simple graphics on

Hi, I've also noticed decreased performance with this patch (also on a NVidia GPU). It's not to the same degree, but I figure it's probably worth consolidating this onto this ticket.
Prior to 0.4.2, I was able to run RUMBLE with Legacy Camera enabled at a steady 115FPS. In patch 0.4.2, I am not able to hold a consistent 115FPS (using Simple graphics) while Legacy Camera is disabled (fluctuations to around 95FPS during gameplay using Simple graphics).
I have attached my System Information generated by Steam, in order to help pin down the issue. Note: this file incorrectly identifies my headset as Pimax VR, Inc. Pimax Crystal (aapvr), but it is a "Pimax Vision 8K X".
Let me know if there is any other information I can provide to aid in investigating this issue. I have footage to confirm stable performance in the previous patch if need be, and I would be more than happy to run and test my RUMBLE to help identify where I am losing performance.
Thanks. :)

nara!ara iGPU's aren't generally even supported for vr games, as things like steamVR won't launch without a dedicated gpu. I would not hold out hope on ever being able to play vr on a iGPU

And if you were playing with an iGPU I'm very surprised
